I spent the day just wandering around town. I walked along the harbor and through some of the busy streets. I then took a nap.
The hostel offered free dinner every night. Tonight was bangers and mash!
At 7:30 I met back up with Marta! My SCUBA buddy from the great barrier reef had made it to Auckland and we planned to meet up with some other folks for a few drinks and a trip to the casino. It was another great night. I didnt do any betting but I enjoyed watching every one else win, lose, and break even. After the casino we claimed the free beer from the hostel and chatted the night away.
Travel friends are great!
What I learned:
There is the thing called the bungee jump like is like a giant human slings shot. You site in a ball and they sling shot you into the air. Of course, the bungee cords keep you from sailing off and you bounce around for a while. They do this right in the middle of the city.
Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand. And there are some super huge expensive sail boats in the harbor.
